at that site you will find the word gig, biscuitto.. mmm in Thailand .. we also have this word Gig.. but I think.. Huge huge huge different meaning.
Therefore, sometimes I think it has the same meaning as well.. I just don't know..

But, a gig is basically a job that's a one time thing. People mostly use it for musicians playing a show. But, you would also use it if you were, say a photographer and were hired to photograph a specific event. You'd call that a gig. You wouldn't generally use it to refer to an ongoing job that someone goes to every day.

I having a hard time finding the correct words to explain it to you, but okay, here would be the dictionary version: a gig is a job, especially for musicians.
